Los Robles Animal Hospital will begin closing on Fridays beginning December 1, 2023. Los Robles Animal Hospital has been providing veterinary care since 1986 and never envisioned a time when a four-day week would be a thing. However, times are changing and so is the interest in working in veterinary medicine. Logistically veterinary staff do not have the option of working from home, which has been a contributing factor to staffing shortages that have been plaguing the veterinary profession for the last several years, and Los Robles has felt the effects of this saddening trend. In an effort to provide the community, and out-of-state clients as well, with the level of care they are accustomed to, the decision has been made to adjust the hours of operation instead of sacrificing the quality of care provided. Boarding services will still be available and kennel staff will be on site 7 days a week. All boarding patients will need to drop off Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. No patients will be accepted into the hospital when the front office is closed. After-hours boarding pick-ups will continue to take place between 5:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and any holiday the office is closed. Los Robles Animal Hospital apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause but feels the quality of care provided supersedes the quantity of hours open. Sincerely, The Doctors and Staff of Los Robles Animal Hospital
